Despite 99% of women in Mumbai and Delhi, 87% in Kolkata and 69% in Chennai going to professional salons for hair removal, the majority of them felt they did not achieve the desired result.

Concerns about salon hygiene, the pain of waxing and the unsatisfactory results of shaving and creams, have driven more and more of them to hair removal technology, once considered the exclusive preserve of models and actresses.

The shift is most perceptible in Mumbai, with 94% of Mumbai women surveyed feeling that technology is less time-consuming, and 85% of them feeling it is cost-effective, in the long run.
