Brought to you by <noindex>Proactiv Solution – treat acne and prevent future breakouts.</noindex>

With so many products making so many claims, it’s easy to be confused by clever marketing. Fortunately, just a bit of education can get you on the path to choosing the proper cosmetics and using them wisely. Here are seven good rules to follow for a healthy make-up regimen:

1. Avoid penetrating oils. Contrary to popular belief, not all oils are comedogenic. Petroleum products, mineral oil and sunflower oil do not penetrate into the pore. Most cosmetic oils, however, can aggravate acne — so it’s best to avoid them. In general, products labelled “oil-free” and “non-comedogenic” are less likely to clog your pores and trigger breakouts.

2. Steer clear of sweet smells. Fragrance is a major cause of allergic and irritant reactions on the face. Even products that claim to be “unscented” may include fragrances added to mask the smell of other ingredients. It’s best to stick with products labelled as “fragrance-free” or “hypo-allergenic.” Of course, reactions to fragrance differ dramatically, and you may find certain perfumes that don’t affect your skin.

3. Be smart about shadow and blush. The stuff that puts the sparkle in your eye shadow, face powder and blush is usually mica, a common mineral. The jagged, flaky shape of mica particles can cause irritation and/or clogging in the follicle, so it’s best to use products without too much shimmer. Check the labels for blushes that use carmine, which has been a natural, healthy cosmetic colorant since the time of the Aztecs. Also, cream blushes are more likely to have comedogenic ingredients, so stick to powder or gel blushes.

4. Get wise to eye creams. Because of the delicacy of the skin around the eyes, creams created for this area are often thicker and greasier than regular facial moisturizers. Heavy eye creams and oily eye make-up removers can promote milia, tiny white cysts under the eyes. These kinds of products can also migrate to neighbouring areas, creating acne on the cheeks, temples and forehead.

5. Style your hair with care. Most hair products are full of the ingredients we’d like to keep away from our skin: alcohol, adhesives and oils. So if you’re prone to acne, use care when styling your hair — cover your skin when you spray, and try to keep oils, mousses, gels and pomades away from the skin at the hairline. And don’t use hair products when you exercise; perspiration from your scalp can carry styling products onto your skin, contributing to new breakouts.

6. Wash after exercising. While we know that sweat doesn’t cause acne, it can promote it in those who are prone — and make-up can make matters worse. Even non-comedogenic products can cause clogging or irritation in the presence of heavy perspiration. As a rule, it’s best to wash immediately after exercising with a medicated exfoliating cleanser.

7. Use the right lip lube. If you have problems with pimples around the mouth area, you might want to reconsider the products you use on your lips. Lipsticks and glosses are greasy by nature, with high concentrations of petroleum, wax and other comedogenic substances. The greater the shine, the greater the potential for pore-clogging — so if you’re breaking out, try going for a matte finish rather than a high gloss.

In general, it’s fine to doll up! Just choose your cosmetics carefully — look for products that are oil-free and non-comedogenic. Read labels carefully to avoid common topical triggers. And of course, use your common sense; if a product that looks okay on the label is irritating your skin, discontinue usage right away.

Do you have problems with your skin after shaving or waxing? Razor burn can be an irritation to some people but to most women it can be very painful. Sensitive pubic areas can be very painful and so can armpits especially when you need to put on deodorant. Waxing often leaves red dots and ingrown hairs, even when the waxing is done by a professional. There is an alternative which is used by millions of people called the <noindex>Epilady</noindex>.

The <noindex>Epilady</noindex> is a hand held device which has special spinning disks on it head which pull the hair out from its root. The disks spin at very high speeds and because they spin the can remove hair from any angle, which helps avoid the red dots that are caused when waxing is not pulled at a straight angle. Here are some tips on how to make you skin smooth and beautiful by using the Epilady.

1.Always use your Epilady after a shower or bath. The hot water will help to open the pores and relax the hair at the root, making the hair easier to remove. Remember that the Epilady is an electronic devise and should not be used in or near water.
2.Pull the skin taught, tightening any excess skin by holding it down. As the Epilady rolls across your skin, the hair will be easier to be pulled from tight skin as they stand up higher.
3. Start slowly. You will be able to feel the Epilady grab onto your hair follicles. The slower you work, the more thorough the <noindex>hair removal</noindex> job will be.
4.Use movements that go in the direction of the hair growth. Unlike shaving, which requires that you go against the grain of the hair, the Epilady is designed to work best with the grain of the hair. When the hair is pulled out with an Epilady, you will tend to not get the red bumps that you might otherwise get with a razor.
5.Your skin may be sensitive after you use the epilator. The best treatment is specially designed moisturizing cream called Epilady After Cream. This cream is engineered to work after epilation and won’t cause irritation. You may also use a mineral oil to soother your skin. It is not advised that you use regular lotion, however, as the chemical agents in lotion can lead to rashes and skin irritations.
If you follow these simple steps you will have smooth, beautiful skin, which will be hair and irritation free. For more information on the Epilady please visit http://gpcare.com/products.asp

Maintaining a proper skin care routine is important to keeping your skin clear, free of impurities and oil, and moisturized so it remains healthy, acne-free, and radiant. Your basic skin care regimen should include cleansing of the skin, applying an alcohol-free toner, and finish with a moisturizer + sunscreen.

Face cleansing is the core of skin care regimen. You should wash your skin with a gentle cleanser at least twice a day to remove the oil, dead skin cells, dry skin. These are substances that can clog the pores. It is important for the pores of your skin to remain bacteria free as the presence of bacteria is something which contributes substantially to the growth of pimples. If you have overall cleanliness of the skin, you can lessen the chance of pimples. Before you apply all those cosmetics or medications for your acne, experts always tell you to wash your face. Here are several tips on proper skin care for your oily acne skin and how to properly wash your face.

1. First, remove every trace of make-up/cosmetic on your face. Use cotton ball and moisturizing cream to avoid damaging your skin.

2.Use lukewarm water to wash your face. This will also open the pores for deeper cleansing. Avoid washing your face with water that is too hot or too cold as it can dry out your skin. .

3.Avoid strong or harsh soaps/ cleansers. Strong soaps can dry your skin and strip off natural lipids. Choose soap that are mild if you prefer soap, or you can always choose cleansers that are soap-free, non- comedogenic (won’t clog pores), and mild like Cetaphil, Burt Bee’s or Neutrogena. Even better, you should use natural skin care products such as Dermalise since they are more gentle to your skin.

4.For people who have acne-prone skin, you should use cleansing products that contain salicylic acid. Salicylic Acid is a naturally occurring organic acid and a gentle, effective exfoliator. It is very effective for acne and oily skin and helps to unclog pores by removing dead skin cells, loosen and remove blackheads and whiteheads, and prevent future outbreaks. Products should contain 1-2% concentration of salicylic acid in order for it to be effective. For sensitive skin types, a 1% concentration would be suitable and for stubborn acne, 2% concentration is recommended.

Note that Salicylic Acid also makes skin sensitive to the sun. Sunscreen should therefore be used while applying Salicylic Acid. Also, sunscreen protects your skin from harmful UV rays of the sun and helps prevent wrinkles.

5.Massage face gently in an upward motion using using your fingers. Do not do hard rubbing as it will actually do more harm than good.

6.Rinse face well to remove all residue of soap or cleanser. Residues left behind can actually clog your pores. Facial cleansers can leave an invisible residue behind which can clog your pores. Rinse three times, then rinse again.

7.Pat dry with soft, non-abrasive towel. Never ever rub your face.

8.Use an alcohol-free toner on your face. Toning your skin restores skin pH back to it’s normal range and it closes the pores to your skin and prevent dust and other air borne particles from settling in your pores. Again, it is recommended to use products with natural and organic ingredients. It should make your face feel smooth and refreshed. Astringents and toners with glycolic or alpha hydroxy acids work the best for toning the face. These acids actually can reduce the pore size, and help avoid ingrown hairs. They are aggressive and have quick results. Remember to look for a product that is not photosensitive (sensitive to light).

9.Finish your routine by using a moisturizer to replenish the natural oils that have been lost. Moisturizing is a necessity step. Again, the product that uses natural ingredients (i.e. Dermalise) and with the least amount of chemical additives is the best. Always use a light moisturizer on your face after cleansing. For an intensive moisture treatment use pure vitamin E, or aloe vera oil. It is available in liquid form, or just break open a capsule and apply the oil directly to the skin.

10.Use a sunscreen throughout the day (min SPF15) to protect your skin from harmful UV rays. Long term exposure to UV radiation may result in harmful effects such as sunburn, skin cancer, and acceleration of skin aging process.

11.If you have oily hair, you should wash and shampoo your hair daily to prevent the oil from touching and clogging the pores on your forehead.

12.Also, it is also important to not to touch your skin with your fingers. Our hands and fingers normally carry a multitude of various germs. When these germs make contact with the pimples, it can make the pimples worse.

The above 12 essential skin care for your oily acne skin steps would help you keep your face clean, clear and beautiful. However, for some of us unfortunate acne victims, our acne problems are more serious. Therefore, tougher measures must be taken. In addition to following the above recommendations, it is recommended to use an acne curing system that fights acne bacteria both from inside the body as well as outside the body. Most over the counter acne products in the market such as Clearsil, Oxy-10, ProActiv only address acne problems at the skin level and that is not enough to effectively fight acne.

If your acne problem still persists after following the above skin care regimen, you should use an anti-acne system that employs the proven principle of fighting acne both from the outside and the inside the body. The system should include an oil-free, SD Alcohol and Salicylic Acid solutions based facial & body wash and herbal pills. The facial/body wash will help you fight acne on your face, back, chest and arms by unclogging your pores and expelling all the bacteria and oil that cause pimples and other blemishes. The herbal pills effectively fight acne-causing bacteria from the inside. Together, they are very potent in getting rid of acne fast and preventing acne from occurring again. See our website for more information and for recommendation of a proven anti-acne system guaranteed to stop acne fast!

Taking care of our skin should be a part of our daily regimen and hygiene. God gave us the perfect skin when we were born and it is our duty to preserve or perhaps prolong its youthful stage. Taking care of our skin can be done in many ways through our lifestyle, diet and some pampering. Our skin shows what we have been doing, what we have been eating and how we take care of ourselves.

Rashes and irritations attacks babies, pimples and breakouts freaks teenagers out and lastly, lines and wrinkles are life sentences for most middle-aged people. All of us have skin problems and we cannot hide from them. One thing for sure, we have to confront them and address any problems that may come our way.

Skin care regimen can be natural or scientifically and technologically assisted. It ranges from using ingredients from our kitchen to consulting our dermatologist and hitting off to the nearest spa. It can be a one-minute routine or would take up a couple of sessions. All comes down to one goal of having a healthy glowing skin.

With this increasing demand for skin care, beauty salons are now offering skin care to its clients. When we speak of beauty salons, what usually enter our minds are pedicures, manicures, hair styling and make-up. But now, beauty salons are now offering spa services which include skin care.

What skin care services do beauty salons offer?

Beauty salons now offer many skin care services with facials as the most common. Next to facials refer to the facial scrub and other treatments including diamond peels. Other skin care services that salons offer are paraffin treatments, masks, and exfoliations.

What supplies and equipments do they have?

Beauty salons now include creams, scrubs, masks and many more in its supplies. Skin care now is a “legitimate” division in beauty salons together with hair, cosmetics and hand and foot. One can find their indulging brands like Burts Bees, Garnier and even.

Lancome products in the salon’s shelves where they can freely purchase any of their preferred skin care products. Salon owners are also now investing in equipments specifically for skin care.

Aside from supplies and equipment, beauty salons don’t just hire nail technicians or hair stylist but masseurs and attendants as well. These new workforce caters the operations especially for skin care. They are the ones who carefully perform laser treatments, prepare the scrubs and patiently wait for the masks in our dull faces dry up.

Beauty salon truly comes a long way. Women used to go there to get their weekly manicure and pedicures and have their grays covered. But now, men are also hopping in as part of their clients and their services are even wider. One doesn’t have to wonder why the word “spa” is added to most beauty salons. Indeed, salons cater their clients from head to toe. Skin care has been making waves not only in the dermatologist’s clinic but also in the local salon near you.

Have you ever tried to get rid of your hair dandruff by spending a fortune on different products just to figure out that it doesn’t seem to work all or it seems to be working in the beginning but than makes your dandruff worse than it was before. Well, you are not alone with this problem.

Many of us have desperately tried to get rid of itchy scalps and white flakes on shoulder and back in the past. How often have we turned to products that made our scalps itchier and drier that they used to be and that felt like a complete waste of money and effort? And how often have we asked ourselves if all the chemical ingredients are really good for our skin.

The basic cause of dandruff is the shedding of dead skin cells from the scalp. This is a natural process that takes place all of the time for every person. The difference between a dandruff sufferer and a non-sufferer lies in the renovation process of the dead skin cells. While it takes up to 28 days for healthy skin, the cycle for a dandruff sufferer is reduced to two to seven days.

With more and more consumers asking for natural remedies and an ever-increasing popularity of natural and organic products, many shampoo companies have started to include natural ingredients in their ranges. Without reducing the price tag on it. More and more customers have started to make their very own home remedies for dandruff using natural oils such as tea tree and lemon, just to name a few. The benefits are obvious: you know what’s inside and you will pay a lot less than the shampoo companies will charge you.

If you really want to get your dandruff under control or get rid of it completely why not make your own dandruff products? They are easy to make, the ingredients are inexpensive and most important they seem to work. There is a book that gives you a step-by-step guide on what natural products to use. It covers anything from mild to extreme dandruff problems, how to help keep your scalp clear and help it repair all the damage that has been done to the scalps own natural oils because of the chemicals we have been using for too long.

You rarely come across anyone who has never experienced any scalp problems at all. They are either suffering from dry skin or an itchy and flaky scalp or, even worse, both at the same time. We come across hundreds of products to take care of scalp problems, and ever so often we fall prey to the advertising campaigns to try and <noindex>buy</noindex> these products. Do we pay any attention to what goes into these products and how they can effect our situation? Or do we ever think of what might have caused our scalp problems in the first place?

Let’s take a deeper look into some of the main scalp problems that tend to occur these days. A very common scalp condition is an either dry or itchy and flaky scalp that usually relates to a condition called dandruff. Another common scalp problem is the fungus malassezia that lives on the human skin and nurtures itself from the skin oil of the human body. Last but not least, excessive and persistent dandruff that does not respond to treatment may be a symptom of a more serious skin condition such as seborrhea, eczema, or psoriasis.

There are many reasons for scalp problems to occur such as poor scalp hygiene, stress, wrong diet, overuse of harsh shampoo and conditioner, chemical based hair treatments, overuse of alcohol, spicy food and tobacco. Being exposed to weather conditions such as cold air in winter or an overexposure to sun in summer can also cause various skin problems.

There are hundreds of ideas that are excellent to treat various scalp problems from dandruff to scalp infections. All these remedies, in combination with the knowledge of what causes different scalp conditions will enable you to be free from itching and dryness and allow you to forget about scalp problems for good. Just have fun experimenting with the different treats nature has to offer and you might be rewarded with a perfectly balanced scalp and the shiniest beautiful hair in a very short period of time.

As temperatures plummet and the central heating is notched up, our dandruff problems tend to get worse during the autumn and winter months. Suffering from dandruff can be a very nasty problem that is hard to get rid of. Here are a few ideas on how to find the best dandruff treatment for your very own dandruff condition.

When trying to find a suitable dandruff treatment it is important to firstly understand what dandruff is, what causes it and what sort of dandruff you are suffering from. As we all are different individuals we all have to deal with different forms and levels of dandruff. Mild dandruff usually appears after changing your hair shampoo product while moderate or severe dandruff can be based on a serious skin disorder and might need professional advice.

There are many dandruff treatments that are based on chemical ingredients and that you can easily <noindex>buy</noindex> over the counter. Most of them are the widely advertised anti dandruff shampoos and conditioners that are made for daily use. They usually work well if you suffer from very mild dandruff caused by a change in hair products.

However, if you suffer from more severe hair dandruff, these chemical based products can irritate your scalp skin and make your dandruff even worse. How good that there are alternative dandruff treatments available to control your dandruff and even get rid of it for good. Most of them are actually pretty simple and surprisingly cheap such as treatments with vinegar or tee tree oil just to name a few. They are easy to use and very friendly to your scalp and hair, without causing the damage that a chemical product could do in a worst-case scenario.

So why not go for natural dandruff treatments and avoid chemicals at all? Once you understood what causes your dandruff you could then decide which natural methods to use. As there are many different ways to cure dandruff in a natural way, if you are serious about getting rid of your dandruff problems for good then there is only one thing to do: Understand what causes your very own dandruff and get reading to find out what you need to get rid of it.
